The secret is most places in Portland have a special cheeseburger that usually is not on the menu - you have to ask. Large park nearby with trails and great views of the city.
Just off of I-84 about 30 minutes east of Portland, this is one of the most scenic waterfalls on the entire west coast. We nearly lost this beauty last summer due to wildfires, but the firefighters put in everything they had and were able to save the forest immediately surrounding the falls and the historic lodge.
This place is a major tourist attraction so a must see but please be prepared for crowds.

This 12-acre park has intricately designed and delicately maintained gardens true to the traditional Japanese style of gardening. It’s absolutely breathtaking, and it also houses a tea room with traditional Japanese teas and snacks.
Portland is the rose city! This place is a must see and if you have extra time the Japanese Gardens are next door.
