A quick hike with spectacular views, especially at sunset...or sunrise if you are an early bird! Located just up the road from our guesthouse, so a short drive with restrooms & fresh water on site. The terrain is a bit rocky so wear sturdy shoes.

Luckenbach Texas, where “Everybody’s Somebody”, established as a trading post in 1849. There is an old dance hall still in use every weekend, live music daily, a General Store and a bar. A great place to visit, sit back under the old 500-year-old oak trees, relax and listen to live music.

Great wine, great owners, fabulous views! This is one of my favorite wineries around, it is actually in Stonewall, just outside of Fredericksburg, but it is gorgeous and the wine is spectacular! Stop in on your way here, tell them I sent you!

You can sip wine and watch the butterflies dance among the flowers right outside the tasting room! You can make a day of it by visiting both Kuhlman & AB Astris since they are not too far from one another.
While most of their wines are made from California grapes, this young couple has plans for Texas wine in the near future, stop in and give them a try! They have a very nice Chardonnay as well as a late harvest Riesling that I love!
