Austin Monthly reports Zilker is one of Austin's best neighborhoods. Zilker is within walking distance to Barton Springs, Barton Creek Greenbelt, and Zilker Park to name a few. Downtown is just across the lake and So Co is accessible. Kayak, walk or bike around TownLake (now called Lady Bird Lake), try your hand at 9 holes of pitch and putt. Many entertainment and eating options near by make this a desirable and one of Austin's most expensive neighborhood's to live in.

Austin's best sushi restaurant (Uchi) and best BBQ (Franklin's) had a baby and this is it. Casual, order at the counter type place. Great outdoor patio, large inside bar space. Good for a solo traveler.

Not in the neighborhood, but close by and worth a visit. Directly across from a climbing gym with a large outdoor space, beer garden, music on Sunday nights. Food trucks, coffee, great space to work. One of my favorites.

About 7 min walk from the condo. Small tables which make this good for a lone traveler to get some work done. Never had an issue finding a plug. One of my favorite breakfast food trucks resides on their lot, Paperboy. Try their BEC (bacon, egg, and cheese) sammy. Will not disappoint. Coffee is good too and if you get there early enough, you can score Taco Deli breakfast tacos (there is some debate about these being the best tacos, I think they are just OK).

Those in the neighborhood typically use the back entrance off Azie Morton Rd. Cool 68 degrees year round. Say you're a resident for cheaper admission fee, $5 cash or cc machines before you enter. They are strict about food and drink. Water is the only thing allowed.
