You can take steamboat, boat and seabus from Eminönü and Kadıköy to islands everyday. You can throw simit to seagulls, drink tea and watch Istanbul lands during your sea voyage.
No motor vehicles at islands, you should bike and take a horse-drawn carriage at streets of island, walk to high hills of islands for beautiful views.
