About a 10 minute drive south before Camp Pendleton. This is the California dream beach you see in all the old movies. You drive your car right up on the sand (basically). Probably my favorite beach-chill scene in the world. Great for some surf and then having a bonfire on the beach and roasting marshmallows. It costs $15 to get in and can get super crowded in the summer. You may have a line of cars waiting to get in.

It costs $15 to get in and can get super crowded in the summer. You may have a line of cars waiting to get in.
