Rik & Ainhoa's Favorite Restaurants
Star of India is one -if not the best- Indian restaurant in the region. We recommend the channa puree with plain naan, Chicken Tika Masala and a Jalfresi if you like the spicy side of food! The staff is very friendly and the restaurant has a lot of regulars who visit often (including us!)

A fantastic modern Italian/fusion restaurant with stunning food. We highly recommend any of their pizza, their scallop Indian Curry is fenominal (especially combing with their bread) and the tuna tataki is to die for.
Make sure you order the lemon cake/mouse and chocolate mouse as desert. You won't be disappointed!

What is a holiday in Spain without spending some time at a 'xiringuito' beachbar. Ton-Tin is by far the best one and is conveniently only 10 minutes walking from the house.
They have great cocktails and during the summer holidays have live music every Friday, Saturday and Sundays until well after sunset. A great place for couples and families alike to come and enjoy the 'Spanish life'

They have great cocktails and during the summer holidays have live music every Friday, Saturday and Sundays until well after sunset. A great place for couples and families alike to come and enjoy the 'Spanish life'
🍣🍣 fan? This is the place to visit, located in San Juan Kimoshi has been a favorite of Ainhoa and Rik ever since they opened. The quality of food is amazing and the staff very friendly.

A Michelin star restaurant (at about 79 euros per person) with a set menu, it is half way up the castle of Santa Barbara and is the place for a fantastic dinner.

Sightseeing
Fancy going out and explore the region a bit? Guadalest is a great place to go and visit. A beautiful little Castle on top of the steepest smallest rock you have seen. Right above a beautiful very blue lake it has great views as well. Guadalest is only reachable by car.

A great place to visit in combination with Guadalest. The waterfalls are beautiful and it is pretty accessible with stairs and rails. You do have to pay to enter, so we recommend you check online first to make sure the waterfalls are not too 'dry' in the season.

Altea is a beautiful classic Spanish coastal town with a rich history, build on a hill with the church on the top it is a great place to visit. There are numerous great seafood and tapas restaurants and gives you that classic Spanish vibe
