One of the intriguing turn-of-the-century commercial buildings at Ashby Station is this picturesque structure at Adeline and Ashby that for over fifty years has been the location of Jack’s Antiques. Records show that it was built in 1901 by contractor A.E. Hargraves and enlarged by him over the next few years. The architect’s name remains elusive http://berkeleyheritage.com/essays/ashby_station.html https://www.jacksantiques.net

"Armed with a degree in English and penchants for whiskey and gambling, Grant is [the] head chef. Learned his craft working in all manner of fancy and not-so-fancy restaurants, but mostly at the foot of his grandmas' aprons. He'll be delighted to talk to you for a fast minute, but then he's gotta go stir roux... Jeron T. and Jess M. are the other two cats that own and run this joint." - from their Yelp page
