Great hikes
The Blue Lakes area is really close the house (about a 5 minute drive) and you can find info on how to get there from this link: https://www.gobreck.com/trip-ideas/hiking/moderate-hiking-trails-in-breckenridge/ Even if you don't end up hiking from here you can drive to the lakes (summer-fall only) and it's a beautiful spot. Mountain goats can oftentimes be seen gathering on the roads and by the lakes later in the afternoons and evenings.

Breck Ski Resort is 15-20 minutes from the house and has a ton of amazing terrain from beginner to intermediate to advanced. The mountain is organized according to 5 peaks, 6 - 10. All of the beginner and intermediate terrain is located off of Peaks 8, 7 and 9; the more advanced terrain is located off of Peak 6 and 10, with lots of challenging runs at the top bowls. Check out the ski map poster at the house to get a lay of the land before you hit the slopes.
There are also several restaurants on the mountain -- one of our favorites is Pioneer Crossing off of Peak 7. This restaurant is cafeteria style and has expansive views. Steer clear of peak lunch times to avoid big crowds. The other good option is Ten Mile Station or you can ski down to the base of Peak 9 for the Copper Top Grill. On a warm ski day you can hang out on the patio at the base of Peak 8 at the T-bar or Ski Hill Grill and watch the skiers while you enjoy lunch or a frosty beverage.
