If you want to see the biggest shopping street of Copenhagen, we recommend you start at Rådhuspladsen, and walk your way down "Strøget" (this is the danish name of the shopping street) to Nørreport st. and maybe onwards here to the less touristy Nørrebro, and have a pancake at Laundromaten (also on the map) before maybe ending up at the Meat Packing District (Kødbyen), also on the map, for a drink or some great food.

Your own Irma is just below. It's actually the same building just 6 stories down. They have open until 8 PM, and offer everything in ecological and good quality groceries.

A nice park with football fields, playing grounds and just some green area. It's a nice break, and a little haven, from all the "Dubai Like" buildings who surround the area. (our little Central Park)

5 minute walk to the Metro. From here you can get to Nørreport and inner city of copenhagen in 15 minutes. There is also a train going from here right to the airport or central st. in about 5 minutes.

It's not easy to find free parking in Ørestad, but do not worry, I've got you covered: Park on either Kongelundsvej or Kanadavej residential area. Then walk the 15 minutes distance to home from there.

Bella Center is just 10-15 min slow walk from the apartment, or can be reached by taking the metro 1 stop. Besides conferences Bella Center is known for its Sky Bar and restaurant at the top floor.

Amagerfælled is a nice park, perfect if you would like some grass under your toes. The park can also be reached by crossing the road "Center Blvd" from "Byparken" also on the map, only 5 minutes away.

This is "Kødbyen" in english called the meat packing district. An old "abandoned" meat area of town now houses some of the best places to go eat or have a drink.

When walking down Nørrebrogade, we strongly urge you to take this path on the right down Elmegade, and enjoy some of the more fashionably and exquisite shops. Elmegade is also full of great local restaurants/take away shops.

Stop at torvehallerne for some great and authentic food experiences. It's a bit expensive but you'll get great food from every single one of the food stalls here. You can also buy some fresh ingredients to take home if you want to prepare a high quality meal yourself.

Very popular, especially in summer time, this place is heavily very crowded, because of the view over the harbour. Once a industrial area, the big "paper hall" is now converted to a multi cultural food stall and area and inspiring multi cultural culinary experience.

I also recommend trying our own private restaurant Rambla. Its in the same building as our apartment, just around the corner from Irma. They do the best Barcelona inspired tapas dishes in copenhagen.

This is the place to go if you want a huge red steak with a great glass of wine (expensive). Like Madklubben you can find different Mash around town, one at top of "Tivoli hotel" as well (though the opposite tivoli hotel building than Sticks'n Sushi)
