Verde Ranch RV Resort is 40 minutes from The Dells Prescott The Granite Dells is a geological feature north of Prescott, Arizona. The Dells consist of exposed bedrock and large boulders of granite that have eroded into an unusual lumpy, rippled appearance. Watson Lake and Willow Lake are small man-made reservoirs in this formation. The Peavine National Recreation Trail follows the former railbed of the Santa Fe, Prescott and Phoenix Railway through the Granite Dells. This winding portion of the railroad was known as the "Peavine" because its twisting curves resembled that of a pea vine. It connects to the Iron King Trail, which follows the route of the old Prescott & Eastern Railroad through the eastern Granite Dells. Both are rail trail conversions.

Verde Ranch RV Resort 37 minutes from Gold King Mine & Ghost Town We invite you to visit the Gold King Mine and Ghost Town while visiting Jerome Arizona. The history here is rich and there are stories to be told. It all began in 1890 . . . When they dug a 1270 foot mine shaft, (you can still visit it today) searching for copper, they struck GOLD! The location was only 1 mile north of the mining town, Jerome, but they became their own mining camp called “Haynes”. In 1901, the population was 30! They even had their own post office from 1908 – 1922. Or course, the gold ran out and the mine was closed. Years later, 91 years later to be exact, the area was rediscovered by Terry & Don Robertson. The year was 1981 and Dons’ dream was to share with the world some of the most unique and important icons of the industrial revolution. Today, the property is filled with vintage transportation: over 180 cars, trucks & motorcycles, including Studebaker’s and Harley’s. There is mining equipment, historic buildings and a Stamp Mill that was used for crushing the ore. You will also find a working sawmill and Blacksmith shop with gold panning and a petting zoo for the kids! We’re happy you’ve found our little spot on the world wide web and hope you can visit in person. In the meantime, browse around a bit, drop us a line or just view some fun video’s. Fun for the Entire Family!

Located 25 miles from Verde Ranch RV Resort The Clarkdale Historical Society and Museum is housed in the old clinic building, designed by Los Angeles architect Arthur R. Kelly and constructed during the influenza pandemic of 1918-19. The clinic dispensed medicine and treated minor injuries of the smelter workers and their families on a 24-hour basis. The clinic closed in the early 1950s, and when the town incorporated in 1957, the building became town offices. A jail was constructed in the boiler room while the police department occupied the basement. In the early 1980s, the Clark Memorial Library moved into the building, which later housed the Department of Motor Vehicles. The renovated building was formally opened as the Clarkdale Museum in 2008.

According to Lillian Too, world-renowned Feng Shui master, the land is perfect for its intended purpose—spiritual transformation and healing through the extraordinary sacred architecture and geometry of the stupa. Kunzang Palyul Choling (KPC), under the direction of its spiritual director Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, has built two stupas here —The Amitabha Stupa and the Tara Stupa. The fully empowered and consecrated stupas sit majestically among the pinion and juniper pines, surrounded by a garland of crimson pinnacles of Sedona Red Rock.
Located 23 minutes from Verde Ranch RV Resort Come for the fish education - stay for the bird watching! We spent two wonderful mornings walking along the clean trails (many of them shaded and cool) and along the creek bank. We went with the hope of seeing a bald eagle, which we didn't, and we left with hundreds of photographs of other birds and some wonderful memories. We had several nice chats with others along the way, yet it certainly was not a crowded area. Plenty of parking. Leashed dogs are permitted. The trails are flat, but the ground is not paved so I'm not sure if a wheelchair or stroller could be used. Truly outstanding public-private facility

10 minutes from Verde Ranch RV Resort The owner of Clear Creek Vineyard & Winery Ignacio Mesa took his first viticulture classes at the University of Arizona at age 20, where he learned two methods of farming grapes: organic and non-organic. He wasn’t able to pursue a career in viticulture at that time as the funds required to purchase land were not available. His career path took him in a different direction but he maintained his interest in vines by planting small vineyards to make wine at each location he was moved to during his career. After 33 years, he was ready to pursue his dream and went on a search to find a place with the right soil composition, climate and availability of clean water to grow his vineyard. In 1999, he found his place in the fertile valley of West Clear Creek, and Clear Vineyard & Winery was born. Ignacio has achieved his goal to have an Estate Boutique Winery using only his sustainably-grown grapes to make his wines. Clear Creek Vineyard & Winery was the first winery to receive the Silver Innovator Sustainability Certification in Arizona. His Rio Claro wines are individual with limited production and unique in style. Come and experience Clear Creek Vineyard & Winery with it's lush green vineyard, crystal clear pond and mountain vistas. It is the ideal pastoral interlude for you and your friends to sit back, relax and sip our Rio Claro Wines.

22 minutes from Verde Ranch RV Resort At Page Springs Cellars, the goal is to create delicious wines that express the unique character of our landscape. We trust that our wines and winemaking convey our philosophies concerning family, education and living life to its fullest. We believe to make great wine we must take just as much responsibility for the lands we steward as the community we live in. We feel strongly that growing grapes, making wine and raising a glass is a cultural ritual that fosters friendship, brings together families, and unites communities. Good wine is not strictly the esoteric fare of nobility: Wine is for the people. We desire to share our passion and interest in wine with everyone from the first time sipper to the seasoned enthusiast. Providing academic and hands on experiences are a big part of this desire to help people expand and trust their own senses. Land, wine, grapes, friends, family, education, and fulfillment: Wine is within everyone’s reach!

25 minutes from Verde Ranch RV Resort Chateau Tumbleweed is a collaboration of four friends – two husband-and-wife teams – who, after working more than 30 combined years for other Arizona wineries, recently left their “day jobs” to focus on their own project. We have a great friendship, a penchant for absurdity and complementary skills in vineyard management, winemaking, sales and administration. We crafted our first wine – only three barrels – in 2011. After three vintages of making our wine at the Four-Eight Wineworks Winemaker’s Cooperative in Camp Verde (2012-2014), we took the plunge, purchased the building we’d been eying for the previous year and converted it into one of Clarkdale’s first commercial wineries and tasting rooms. We’re serious about our wines, but don’t take ourselves too seriously. We aim to rub some of this spirit off onto those we encounter in the hope that wine will one day be generally less stuffy and a lot more fun. We believe in the high-elevation growing regions of the Southwest and think wine has something to teach us if we’re willing to listen. We’re grateful to be part of this evolving industry and to finally be free to do this our way.
