I love GoOD food. I’m also into holes in the walls as much as fine dining. I’m going thru and updating for you previously visited places and adding some fantastic new food spots. Trust me..I’m a tuff critique. Please don’t crucify me if the chef is off that night. I try to tell you a little about the food, the ambience, service, pricing and distance from here. Enjoy.
the food is Cuban and all homemade and delicious. The chef loves to come and talk to everyone. Authentic cuban band and FREE Salsa dance classes on saturdays. Also, the decor is very authentic and is indoor/outdoor. I just love this place!! NOTE: Ownership has changed. I have not visited since the change so my review may not be appropriate still.

If you have a chance and a sweet tooth please support this young ladies dream 😀😀. And tell her the Bed and Breakfast sent you 😀

Husband and I got one of every category including dessert. The seafood was super fresh and the grouper OMG amazing!!! Huge portion and I’m thinking $32 ish dollars for that portion of the meal. It can get pricey when u spend ur entire evening gorging on heavenly food. The baby calamari-outstanding….the shrimp pasta…amazing—grilled romaine lettuce salad, super yummy and fresh—-the grouper was to DIE for, tastes incredible and super fresh,dessert and coffee for dessert and u have just have a perfect foody dinner. I’d go back right now! Treat yourself an Go 😊 Definitely make reservations first though.

Just 2 blocks from here is a southern diner. They serve 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, grits or gravy, toast or biscuits for $5.00. Can’t beat that!!! They are open 8 am to 3 pm —-Monday thru Saturday. They also offer meat and 3 lunch specials. Easy to walk to.

Little secret about me. I think I may be part mouse. I LOVE CHEESE and the Blue Fox has lots of cheese, meats, wines and all things that go with cheese. Knowledgeable staff adds to the experience as does the lil yummy tasting morsels if you ask. So be sure to ask and then stock up for late night snacks. Also serving super yummy subs. Right in the heart of Southside.

My husband loves steak. You rarely here him compliment anyone’s steak but his own. He is still raving about his 14 oz rib eye. I had the shrimp pasta. I can’t get back there fast enough for more. The serving was also huge. The shrimp were fat and sassy and cooked to perfection. The melding of flavors—-fabulous. I can’t leave without a mention of the potato’s. My husband said they were some of the best he’s ever had…in his entire life. That also is a huge plus LOL—we like our potatoes okay. 😂 . I saw the salads around me and I’d say save that room for the excellent meal to come.

The service was beyond bad….so sad. It won’t prevent me from

We felt the prices were fair. My pasta was $28 I think and his steak was very fairly priced..maybe $36? The location is in a part of Chattanooga that is up and coming.
I thought the meal was excellent enough to overlook the few hiccups. Go—You won’t be disappointed.
