This is not a museum; rather an educational center. A green building , off the grid, with a fun nature-oriented shop. Easy hikes on the 80 acre site, including down to perennial LynxCreek, and a lovely Discovery Garden with a section for kids play. Close to Lynx Lake which has trails of its own.

Sightseeing
From Skull Valley it would take about 45 minutes by car to get to the trailhead where there is limited parking. But there is a shuttle that runs from Yarnell to the trailhead. 19 Granite Mountain Hotshot firefighters from Prescott died in the Yarnell Hill fire and this memorial trail honors their memory and sacrifice. It takes you to the scene, and memorial, of their last defense. A 7-mile round trip hike that is not very easy. Plan on a 4-hour+ hike. Check out the website fir details.

By FAR the very best place to buy fabulous freshly baked breads and pastries! They also offer MUCH more so you have to stop by and check them out. Lovely shaded seating area outside. Go to their website or to Facebook for updates on opening and closing times.
