Quirky and fun! Santa Cruz has so much to discover, something for everyone. The Boardwalk (used as the backdrop for several movies; Lost Boys, Us), Shops, restaurants, beaches, and so much more. Perfect for a day trip.

If you are interested in learning about John Steinbeck or the Salinas Valley this is a required stop! Well done and in the heart of Salinas it's definitely worth a stop. Walkable Old Town is right there with many different offerings for food, drink, and shopping. Right down the street from the historic Steinbeck house, where the famous author grew up. See about having lunch there and visit the cellar gift store.

Just over the hill from us literally is the adorable town of San Juan Bautista. Home to one of the California Missions, for the history buff. It's entirely walkable, the main street is lined with antiques stores and yummy spots to eat.

San Juan Bautista spot. Ooooh this place is good!! I always get the “El Jefe” which basically has everything possible on it! Sometimes we hike over enjoy a burger and a beer and then Uber back home! Delicious!
