Great fish restaurant. Located on a small island (holme). Only accessible by boat. They provide transport from Bryggen. An overall great experience, highly recommended.

Possibly the best coffee in Bergen for the moment. Also serves food for lunch.
They also run the place called Blom, on Nygårdshøyden.

The best place to be in Bergen on a sunny day. Good food and good beer. Verftet also houses several local artists, and has a lively concert scene. Lots of people come here to go swimming and hang out in the summer. We also love sitting inside looking out on the fjord on rainy days.

Traditional Bryggen, Bergens Unesco world heritage site. Walk among the old wooden buildings, once used by the Hansa-traders who had their had their offices here for 400 years. Bryggen is still in active use, and houses offices, workshops, shops, cafes and restaurants. We often go to the cafe Bastant in one of the small alleys. A great way to visit a World Heritage site
