Absolute best pizza around, especially at 2am after enjoying all the night life downtown. Visit the sky bar to watch the sunset, listen to live bands or DJs, lots of restaurants to choose from earlier in the night. Cobblestone roads with themed restaurants are a definite site to see. In the winter each Friday the main street is blocked off for either Art walk or Music fest.

Hertz Arena is the home for the Everblades professional hockey team. When they are not playing though, you can see concerts, conventions, and tons of other entertainment. You can also go ice skating there. Skate rentals available. 14 miles away.

If golf is your game, the closest course is just 2 miles. I have not played this one personally although is has a great reputation. After, visit The Edison restaurant and bar for great food and sometimes live entertainment. I have been there and it is very good and one of the best bartenders in town.

Spend the day on the beach. Food, entertainment, and of course sun and the Gulf of Mexico waters. You can rent wave runners and other water mobiles. Live bands are everywhere. Bars and family friendly places. Bring good walking shoes and extra sun block. Travelers get too much sun because we are part of the tropics and the sun is literally hotter here, plus reflection from water doubles the exposure.

Tropical clothing tips
In the winter our temperature is in the 70s during the day and can sometimes drop to 50s. Winter is very short for us. In the summer the temp can go up into the 90s but the humidity makes many believe it is over 100. But, all the stores and restaurants keep the AC pumping in the 60s. So no matter what time of year Always have a light jacket handy. We typically don’t get much rain in the winter. Spring time we can set our clocks by the 30 minute afternoon shower. Summer time rains daily and hard. Always have an umbrella.
