If you have a high clearance vehicle, consider taking the trek to the paragliding launch pad at the top of Mount 7. The 20 kilometer drive is up a narrow, often rough Forest Service Road and is often busy with downhill mountain bikers. The view from the top is worth the effort as you have spectacular views of the valley. If you leave late in the afternoon you often arrive just in time to see paraglides launching to catch the late afternoon thermals. The road is only recommended for travel from June to September

The go-to for food, farmers and music in Golden. Located in the CP Rail parking lot and just across from 7-11, it's a short walk from the suite.
The Market is a fixture in the town during the summer and have become a popular community hub to support and promote the vibrant local agriculture.
More than 30 unique market stalls. Perusing everything from fresh produce and artisanal food, to handmade apothecary and fine art creations; rubbing shoulders with local ambassadors has never been more charming, at this authentically Golden experience.

Rotary Trails, Golden's in-town hiking and biking loop offers visitors a great trail for sightseeing and relaxation. Maintained by the Golden Rotary Club, this trail is well kept and winds its way along the Kicking Horse River, through residential areas and treed paths and past Reflection Lake. With more than 10 kilometers of easy grade trails, the Rotary Trails are incredibly popular
