They have a variety of hiking trails that wind around Lake Norman. Hiking, Horse Back Riding, Kayaking and Canoeing are free if you bring your own equipment. Equipment rental is available on a reserved and first come first served basis. This lake is very picturesque and romantic.

I really enjoy the Mint Museum. It shows a good background and history of Charlotte.

I always try to plan ahead when I come here but most nights you can show up without a reservation and still get seated (though you may have to wait a little). Free Valet parking included with your visit. Authentic Cajun at it's best - and not just food but music upstairs as well!
Try the Etouffee with Andouille Sausage, though honestly everything on the menu is excellent.
