Sightseeing

Pearl Beach is typically rougher at the North end with dangerous shore dumpers. We tend to swim anywhere south of the beach toilet block. The Ocean pool is located far south of the beach and gets the last kiss of sunlight. Worth noting if your enjoy savouring the sun and magic with a late afternoon bubbly and picnic. We have a saying in our house "You never regret getting up early to see the sun rise!". Pearl Beach sunrise is particularly spactacular. Sit by the chairs under the Northfolk pines near the beach toilet block or for added serenity walk around Green Point (south end rocks) and find a spot to perch. Green point cliff can also be accessed by car via Green Point Rd.

Patonga is a quiet fishing village and well worth the exploration, swim and picnic spot. It is hemmed in by beach and creek with one road car access. Great Picnic Spot, Patonga Creek: Hands down our favourite spot to come with a large groups. Great for lovers of water recreation... swimming, fishing, SUP, kayaks. Take inflatables and float on out/ in coming tides or watch the kids play cricket on the sand islands at low tide. Park nearby the caravan park to benefit from the BBQs and picnic tables and chill out under the shade of the trees. Dining Option: Patonga Boathouse Hotel and takeaway. Insta-modern, great dining and holiday experience with family and friends. It can be busy in peak times so plan your arrival time carefully. As far as I am aware they dont take bookings. Easy access by car: 8 min from Pearl Beach. Walk via Pearl Beach- Patonga Fire trail. Allow an hour each way. Stunning hiking experience of medium grade, steep incline and decline. If walking is not your thing...give it a try, its worth it! If you enjoy fishing, Patonga Wharf or Dark Corner are our favourite spots.
