Often considered the best Burmese food in SF but there is almost always a super long line! The place is definitely a hot-spot so if you don't mind the wait the food is delicious and the atmosphere is fun. Order the tea leaf salad.

ONLY GO HERE IF YOU HAVE KIDS! it is super noisy with tons of kids running around (particularly before 7) but if you do have kids its a great kid friendly place to eat.

go when it is cold or a strange time of day to avoid the lines. There is also a second location on Devisadero that is less crowded. Super yummy ice cream. Take it and wander around the newly re-done Mission Dolores Park.

This place has been around forever and has consistently great food and cocktails. It is a little bit fancy for SF so if you are dressed to go to the theater or ballet it is a good spot. You need reservations.

Great places for muscles and traditional french food (though they also have mexican food on the menu). They don't take reservations so if you are stuck on a weekend at 7pm with no place to eat put your name down here.

Probably the best brunch in the city. You are going to need to wait a long time but it is worth it. Sit on the patio if it's a nice day.

If you are on Chestnut Street for breakfast or lunch this place is great. I love the beet salad and the burger is often ranked one of the best in the city.

The lines are LONG! Like really long! If it is the off-season or you have a newspaper and aren't particularly hungry it is worth it. But sadly I think you should probably go elsewhere in the summer. There are lots of other great spots! Like eats on our corner which is seriously almost as good.

Parks & Nature
Golden Gate Park isn't visited by visitors as often as it should be. Two incredible museums (Academy of Sciences and the de Young) and beautiful trails, gardens and open spaces. In many ways it is similar to Central Park, but less crowded.

This short hiking trail has absolutely gorgeous views of the bridge and the ocean. Absolutely worth the walk. I'd Uber to the end (just above the Clif House) and then walk all the way back.

San Francisco has a Zoo! It isn't exactly the San Diego Zoo but if you have animal loving kids, it is a nice way to spend the day. It is right at the ocean so if it is foggy it may be really cold so bring a jacket.
