Our favourite place for a beautiful hike in the Jonkershoek mountains. Sossyskloof is one of our best hikes in the reserve. And Saaltjie is a more strenuous hike but amazing views.

Stunning day out. Most beautiful gardens to walk through and great places to eat and taste wine. The main restaurant, Babel needs to be booked weeks in advance. You can also have a light meal in the Greenhouse (no booking necessary) of grab a snack in the wonderful farm shop/bakery

Beautiful wine farm and gardens to stroll through. We love to eat at their deli or picknicks. Fantastic entertainment area for kids. The deli serves great breakfast and lunch or you can book the more formal restaurant, Die Werf or a picnic basket

Our closest mountain for hikes, cycle and 2 great dams to swim in summer. The easiest one to access is past Danie Craven stadium up the hill. It is generally safe to go here but might be quiet in school holiday times. Best not to go on your own then.
