Fun place for the whole family. There is a large city park. An aquifer starts nearby and you can wade in the water near the head spring. Lots of space and picnic tables and bbq grills. The park has lots of whitetail deer and ducks that roam.

Bring a lunch and have a picnic. lots of squirrels and lizards. The trail system is well marked. Our dogs loved it and lots of wildflowers.

Pay a small entrance fee to enter and then take the road to the large parking lot. Great place to hang out, bbq, and swim the water. Loved the areas where there were underwater "cliff" areas.

Spend a few hours on the beach where you can drive on the sand right up to the waves or try your luck at fishing on their pier. Just don't forget to grab a beach pass from one of the local convenience stores for a small fee.
