Intimate, artsy little music venue.
Rooftop bar - perfect for grabbing a drink at sundown after getting off the boat from Ile de Ngor. Good cocktails, nice views from the roof, and free tapas on Friday nights! There's also a DJ on Fridays until 1am. The food is also superb.

Controversial yet fascinating! The monument also hosts a Pan-African exhibition. Again, the views are spectacular, and you can see across to the lighthouse.

A beautiful, quiet little island with no cars and small beaches. You can either chill at the beach, eat at one of the water-side restaurants or take a walk around and see the Dakar skyline from afar.

No trip to Dakar would complete without a visit to Ile de Gorée, a former slave trading island. Today, the House of Slaves is a museum for tourists, but the rest of the island is also very beautiful and worth a visit in its own right. It's advisable to pre-book a tour guide for first time visitors, to avoid being hassled once you get there.
