Across the causeway to the east is downtown Sarasota, which similarly is full of delightful small shops and restaurants. Some of our personal favorites in Sarasota are D'Corato Ristorante (say hi to Vincenzo), Fresh Start Café (for a great breakfast), Owen’s Fish Camp, Bijou Cafe and Café Epicure.

Whenever we are in town, we always enjoy eating and walking around St. Armand’s Circle as the day turns to dusk. The perfect evening for us would be dining outside at Venezia followed by some ice cream and fudge at Kilwin’s. We love popping in to Garden Argosy and Beach House where we always find unique items that catch our eye. If you are looking to pick up souvenirs for grandkids, check out the Little Bo-Tique.
