This is a beautiful park with lots of amenities. There’s tennis courts, disc golf, a skate park, multiple playgrounds, and a pool in the summer. The park itself is huge, a great place to just wander around.
Fun fact - Phyllis Diller, who actually stayed in our home from time to time, donated money to complete the park!
Melvin Miller Park

The treats are delicious! It’s a big hit at our house. They have cookies, cupcakes, and other sweets. They also carry coffee from a local roaster and some other odds and ends.

Just a 15 minute drive for some great Chinese food. The food will still be piping hot if you bring it back. The crab Rangoon is awesome, we also really like the sesame chicken.

Amazing Italian food. The menu has something you will love, but they often have specials that are great too. The food is top quality, and the staff are very friendly. We love the garlic soup, and our daughter can put down a whole plate of the fettuccine Alfredo.

A lot of the restaurants and shops close on Sunday, unless it’s the flea market weekend - first weekend of the month!

Ohio weather is unpredictable
You can experience a 30 degree swing in any 24-hour period. Snow in June? Maybe. So you might always want to have a sweater handy.
Voyage avec enfants
Very walkable
Urbana is very walkable, especially from our space. Almost every street has nice sidewalks that are stroller friendly. Some of the shops can be a little tight, but we typically just park the stroller outside.

While just bout everywhere takes credit card, a few places don’t. You can also haggle on antiques when paying with cash more easily.

Second saturdays during the summer
On the second Saturday each month during the summer there'll be food, music, and more down on the square. The ships usually have extended hours as well.
