Winery
One of our favourite wineries, Silos is beautiful but also has the friendliest staff around. Sit outside with a bottle of wine and a local cheese plate, while you look over the vineyards. You can also bring your own picnic blanket and sit on the hill if you prefer.

A more casual winery, Two Figs has amazing views of the river in a very relaxed setting. You can book for a tasting inside, or if you prefer you can find a picnic table on the hill and have a laidback afternoon. The outdoor area is great for kids and dogs, with plenty of space to run around.

Food scene
This is one of Berry's best cafes and is only a block from the Studio. It's open early, and has lovely sunny spots for coffee in the morning. Great food, burgers and service. Better to book at busy times or expect a bit of a wait.

A great cafe and restaurant open over the weekend. A chic indoor space for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and a lovely garden area out the back with a smokehouse. Great food, drinks and coffee.

Sightseeing
The Gardens at Merribee are beautiful. Sometimes they're open to the public, but you'll have to check first. They're lovely formal gardens, with hedges, lavender, roses and topiary, plus beautiful local jams and honeys.

A short drive from Berry, this bushwalk delivers amazing views at the top. Try earlier or later in the day for sunrise/sunset if you can. It is steep and uneven in parts, but overall a moderate hike.

Just go down Prince Alfred Street street out of Berry and you'll end up at Berry Beach. There's a lovely walking path parallel to the beach, where you can walk through the bush and hear the ocean on the other side. You can also walk along the beach.
