Our favorite grocery store! Not fancy, but very busy so the produce is very fresh. Sherm and Wanda, the owners, are very generous, giving truckloads of food to the poor.

The Bird is the truest glimpse into Old Medford, and an outdoorsman's (outdoorswoman's) mecca. Hunting/camping/fishing gear, ski/snowboard/rafting gear, clothing, brewing supplies, and hardware.

Delicious! And, Thai Bistro staff specializes in preparing allergy-sensitive foods. Gluten-free meals are no problem here. The Louis dish and the lunch buffet are some of my favorites.

Larks features locally raised foods in a comfortable, attractive dining space. I like that it is quiet and elegant without being pretentious. Menu changes seasonally. Prices are very fair.

Gorgeous park, designed by the same landscape architect who planned San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. We enjoy the hiking trails and tennis courts. Take a selfie at the marble fountain, skip tasting the Lithia water. Bleh. Walking tours are offered seasonally and are very nice for learning Ashland history.

There is no blue like the blue of Crater Lake water. During summer we recommend the boat tour. During winter, we recommend the ranger-guided snowshoe tour. The snowshoe tour is free and includes snowshoes.

Britt Gardens hosts outdoor concerts throughout the summer. The gardens are open year round for touring, and there are trail systems to hike, too.
