Sea swimming spot
A place that is good for swimming in the sea.
It is popular with confident swimmers of all ages. There are steps down the cliff to a small changing area, steps into the deep sea and a diving area. Queues form to use it on busy days. Though it’s quieter in the morning. People can swim out to climb up and then jump from rocks at the Guillamene. It is lovely to see the Rocky cliffs so close, see the sea birds overhead and feel the splash of wavelets and a deep sea below as you swim.
Newtown Cove around the corner is especially popular with children. It’s relaxing to sit by the little green area for a picnic and then to walk in the small wood.
There is a small parking area but it can be busy in good weather.

This is a lovely peaceful place, that is also a relatively recently designed cultural heritage site, where one can learn all about how someone who loved Tramore became an author of reknown in his adopted homeland of Japan. It has been created with vision, and is tended carefully. It provides an unusual delightful respite in a busy world. Also it offer inspiring views for mindfulness.
