Things to do if you have a few hours.
About 5 miles north of Elbow Creek Rd on East River Rd, just before the small berg of Pine Creek. Hike to Pine Creek Falls is only 1 1/4 miles and pet-friendly. Hike from east end of Pine Creek Campground. Turn off East River Road at Highway marker 24. Hike to the lake is much longer and more aggressive, many do this as an overnight hike unless you are a really fit outdoorsman.
