The famous Parisian Ladurée now has a large outpost in Soho, just across the street from the apartment. In the spring/summer/fall months, don't miss the beautiful outdoor courtyard in the rear of the restaurant, one of the few large outdoor seating spaces in New York. The food is a touch expensive, but very well prepared and thought out; the Pont Neuf potatoes are not to be missed! The front of the restaurant is the Ladurée Bakery, featuring their world-famous Macarons and other decadent pastries.

The BEST (and I mean BEST!) deli in SoHo and possibly in New York! They make amazing sandwiches and salads; no seating space, but grab something to eat and take it to a nearby park (like the benches at Thompson/Spring or even walk a few minutes to Washington Square).

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city. Classic Milanese/Northern Italian restaurant that attracts a very chic crowd all day. Beautiful restaurant with artwork and modern design. The food is exceptional as is the coffee and the cocktails.

New York's High Line is a must-see; a former elevated industrial railway has been converted into a winding, leafy, tree-lined park that weaves through some of the city's most fantastic contemporary architecture, with stunning views of both the Hudson River and Manhattan on both sides. You can start at W 12th street right by the Standard Hotel and walk all the way up to 34th street.
