Colebrook is a sleepy town with no places to shop so definitely stop on your way in if you want to stock up on groceries, etc. You'll likely come in through either Winsted or Norfolk so you can pick places from this list. The only place to eat in Colebrook is the historic Colebrook General Store which has sandwiches and tasty eclairs but is not technically a general store.

There are so many wonderful restaurants in Great Barrington and although it is a 30 minute drive, it's a fun town that is worth the trip. There are so many options there including great pizza, Greek, Thai, Mexican, Sushi etc. Here are some restaurants closer to the house:
