Blue Rocks is one of the best areas for kayaking. Take a short scenic stroll along Blue Rocks ocean side fishing village and take a picnic and sit on the rocks to take in the magic atmosphere.

Food scene
You’re in luck because the Knot Pub is a short walk away! A cozy friendly atmosphere with a delicious menu to choose from but we just have to mention the pan fried haddock, home cut fries, local lobster linguini, homemade burgers and for garlic lovers, the ceasar salad with homemade dressing. Great selection of local craft beer. Get talking to the locals and you won’t want to leave!

A cozy friendly atmosphere with a delicious menu to choose from but we just have to mention the pan fried haddock, home cut fries, local lobster linguini, homemade burgers and for garlic lovers, the ceasar salad with homemade dressing. Great selection of local craft beer. Get talking to the locals and you won’t want to leave!
The Rose Bay General Store is a local gem and definitely not your usual convenience store. A selection of local produce, European delicacies, beer and wine and everything in between. Stop by on the way to Hirtles Beach for coffee and homemade treats (hint .. chocolate chip cookies!) or on the way back for dinner in the charming rustic bistro.

Rose Bay General Store
3452 NS-332The Rose Bay General Store is a local gem and definitely not your usual convenience store. A selection of local produce, European delicacies, beer and wine and everything in between. Stop by on the way to Hirtles Beach for coffee and homemade treats (hint .. chocolate chip cookies!) or on the way back for dinner in the charming rustic bistro.
We highly recommend No. 9 for morning coffee, a delicious light lunch or afternoon tea with simply the best melt in the mouth homemade scones!
Always a great choice of baked goods and vegan, dairy or gluten free are covered.
The patio garden is charming and inside feels like a cozy sitting room. You will not be disappointed.

93 Tannery RoadThis is the place to go for a refreshing local craft beer or cider after a hard days sightseeing! The view is one of the best in town.
Delicious food is available from Boathouse Bites. We highly recommend their pizza and oyster night is every Wednesday. If you feel like coffee and dessert the Barn Coffee House also share the location.

We always recommend the Saltshaker Deli to our guests and they always come back saying they’re going again! During the busy season our advice is to show up early and take a time slot (it’s worth the wait!)
The menu has an extensive choice of pizzas, burgers, seafood and risottos.

Lunenburg Farmers Market is held all year round 8am - 12pm every Thursday rain, snow or shine. So if you happen to be here on a Thursday stop by for some local produce and crafts,
grab a coffee and pastry and soak up the atmosphere.
