Fantastic local menu that changes monthly. Great for a romantic dinner or with a small group. A good 20 minute walk from the house or a couple of minutes in the car. RIght next to Cafe Jules.

THE BEST fish and chips with mushy peas & coleslaw in Toronto! Just a 10 minute drive from the house and an ideal spot for families. There can be long line ups for a table, but it's worth it.

Seriously the best croissants and baked goods I've had outside of Paris, the coffee's great too. It's within walking distance for adults, but you may want to drive with smaller kids.

One of my favorite Yorkville restaurants. Not too pricey, great food and a lovely roof top patio. It's fairly family friendly, but if they have a hard time sitting, Hemingway's instead

This is a 'hole in the wall" style Vietnamese lunch spot, but the food is fantastic and authentic. My kids love their dumpling soup... and the spring rolls are to die for.

A great little breakfast spot (omelets, scrabbles and good coffee) within walking distance. They also have really good gluten free bagels. Locally owned and operated.

My family loves Dim Sum and Kwan is simply the best. It's pricey/upscale, but worth the money if Dim Sum is your thing. Located at Yonge/StClair so easy to walk to.

My favorite locally owned coffee joint. Best coffee/ lattes at St Clair and a nice (but small selection) of pastries and gourmet sandwiches. Tell Lall (the barrista) that Aussie Lisa sent you.

A very reasonably priced Italian restaurant that is great for families (treat yourself without breaking the bank). Nightly specials and amazing wood fired pizza. A 20 min walk with nearby parking.
