The Coast Guard House has been in this spot for as long as I can remember (that is long!) It has been rebuilt following hurricanes multiple times. Over the years the food has been good or not so good and right now it is good. Nice place to be that is right by the water.

Sightseeing
Newport is about 35 minutes away (in normal traffic) and is a great place to spend the day eating, shopping, walking on the Cliff Walk, visiting the mansions or going to the beach. It is a tourist destination and while fun all year often less crowded during the non-summer months.

Newport is about 35 minutes away (in normal traffic) and is a great place to spend the day eating, shopping, walking on the Cliff Walk, visiting the mansions or going to the beach. It is a tourist destination and while fun all year often less crowded during the non-summer months.
Block Island is a good day trip. If you like to bike you can rent a bike when you get off the boat and ride around the island stopping in the port for ice cream and a lobster roll. The boats also run in the fall and while everything may not be often it is much less crowded than in the summer.
