Just walk on the sands and you will hear the sand squeaking. A great cafe on the sands and an old chapel well worth visiting. It’s a bit of a walk down to the beach but well worth it.

A surprisingly large and well stocked garden centre. Already stockedfor Christmas. Lovely eating area. Worth a visit when skies are grey. Won quite a few awards.

This is a must. British freshly prepared food. Take advantage of 'The Early bird Menu' from 6.00 to 7.00 which is a great saving. Fantastic food and awarded one of the best places to eat in North Wales.

Places to shop for food
There are three supermarkets in Portmadog. Tesco in the centre of town, where you can also get petrol. Aldi and Lidl - just turn right when you get to the roundabout in town. There are two sports shops in the same complex along with a great cafe - ‘break times’ - great for families to eat. As you turn into the complex just turn sharp left and follow the signs. There is a local Spa shop in Tremadog.
