This is an historic iconic building - fabulous and shows great regular and arthouse movies - a must. 12 minute walk down the hill in High Street or catch a tram heading south to city - only 2-3 stops. Shop and look around Westgarth while you're there.

A really beautiful park on the edge of Melbourne city, you can catch train to Jolimont Station and it's just across the road. A delightful garden for adults and children alike. Feed the ducks on the lake.

In the Fitzroy Gardens, just behind Parliament House, you will be able to go into Captain Cook's Cottage, just as he lived in it. The gardens are beautiful and visiting this cottage is part of the enjoyment of the garden experience.
