The park is at the heart of downtown just where the Trent River flows into the larger Neuse. This is where fresh water starts to turn brackish and these waters hold both fresh water and saltwater fish. You can feed the birds - ducks, seagulls, and pigeons all by the waters edge. The kids can enjoy the swingsets while the adults can enjoy the views. The park connects with walkways that will take you by marinas and beautiful buildings in either direction, or walk from the park through downtown.
