About 10 minutes walk - go down Marcia Ave to avoid traffic. Or walk along the path in the national park, that runs parallel to Tasman Drive. Good coffee, cakes, icecreams and lots of general supplies. Plus there is a book swap out the front. Its across the road from 16th beach too.

We like this for a simple lunch or a good coffee. Things like foccacias, soups, sandwiches etc are reasonably priced and good to eat. Plus it is part of the Nest of Seagulls which is a very quirky place to shop. Its across the road from the front beach.

There are heaps of markets on the Peninsula. Red Hill is a good one (if its not too hot a day and you get there early as parking can be challenging in the busy period). Lots of home made crafts and good foods for sale. But we also love the Boneo market which is a lot less touristy, smaller and easier to park (pay a couple of dollars for parking as it goes to charity). And the Portsea market which only runs a few times a year - lovely things on sale, nice setting and good food too. Really, just google markets Mornington Peninsula. I think there is one every weekend somewhere nearby.

Normally places that have a view have pretty ordinary food. And the Baths certainly has an incredible view. But I was recently pleasantly surprised as I had the 2 course fixed price menu - delicious soup and fantastic fish and chips plus friendly service. This is about 10 minutes walk from our home. It is a wild beach - no surf patrols here , so take great care (do your swimming at the front beach). But it is great for sunbaking, rock pool gazing, walking and just enjoying the stunning views. March flies about in summer, so take some fly repellent! Make sure you walk around the bend to see Lizard Rock.

This is my favourite park in Victoria. I think it is just beautiful. The gardens are lovely all times of the year and there are 2 sightseeing spots that have SPECTACULAR views over Port Phillip. There are BBQS (get there early in summer) and a really good children's playground. There are quite a few walks from Seawinds that take you through Arthur's Seat National Park too.

THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE MILLIONAIRE'S WALK. We normally drive down the track next to The Portsea camp on Beach Road in Portsea - there are a couple of parks at the end of the track. You will find a path from the car park. This is the start of the Millionaire's Walk from Portsea to Sorrento. It is a path that runs between the beach and some of Australia's most expensive beach side real estate. You will love the views of the homes of the rich and famous (Lindsay Fox is one of them - you might see him helicoptering in) and the exquisite beach views. Take water and a hat and maybe your bathers.

Everyone seems to love the Hot Springs (and there is a new one opening across the road). Bookings essential. Massages also available and a cafe to enjoy OUR TIPS: Take o Old/cheap bathers as they are likely to get stained o Two towels (one for use whilst bathing, one for your shower afterwards) o Shampoo if you want to wash your hair afterwards (they only provide body wash) o Thongs o Bathrobe/dressing gown if you want and don’t want to pay $15 to hire one o Drink bottle o Food/drinks if you don’t want to purchase them there o You can stay until 11pm, so anything else you need it you want to make the most of the day/night there! • Don’t take jewellery/watches/valuables (or hire a locker for $8) for them • Use the change rooms at the Wellness Centre rather than Bath House – it’s usually less busy and they are nicer • If the car park is busy and you have to park far from the entrance, don’t worry, you will exit from the Wellness Centre if you leave before 5pm anyway • If it’s busy, the newer, Amphitheatre bathing pools are often quieter or have more capacity than Bathing Gully
