Salterns Way is a cycle ( wheelchair) route that takes you through beautiful countryside to Chichester avoiding roads for 90% of the time. Depending on your ability and the ages of your group it's approximately an hours cycle. You can then join Centurion Way which takes you up into the South Downs or cycle in to visit Chichester. There is the South Coast cycle route which can take you to Brighton or in the Portsmouth direction.

Salters WaySalterns Way is a cycle ( wheelchair) route that takes you through beautiful countryside to Chichester avoiding roads for 90% of the time. Itchenor is a sailing village you can walk/cycle to from Sheepwash.
Home of the Itchenor sailing club. You can sit by the water (with an ice cream ?) and watch all the frantic activity of the local sailing fraternity. There is also a foot ferry (bikes and dogs welcome) that takes you across the channel towards Bosham. It's still a lengthy walk to Bosham but well worth it.

Oh dear it's possibly not the right thing to say but this is where the tv programme The Repair Shop is filmed. However wether that is happening or not this is a wonderful setting of historic houses. Your children will be amazed by how many slept in a tiny house not so long ago!!
