a) Walk to the end of our driveway
b) Take a right at our driveway entrance and walk a distance of about 50 meters on the highway until you see a green gate on your left.
c) Directly to the right of this green gate is a power pole and directly to the right of this power pole is the entrance to the waterfall trail.
d) If you see an orange arrow along the way, this acts as an exit back to the highway. Only follow the green & red arrows if you want to stay on the waterfall trial

First take a right after leaving our resort entrance and drive 15 km until you reach crooked lake road. Take a right onto this road and drive for 4 km or until the road is no longer drivable. This last part will have to be taken by foot. Please proceed at your own risk as conditions may be dangerous. Do not go near the cliff as it is unstable due to erosion.
Crooked Lake Road
Crooked Lake RoadFirst take a right after leaving our resort entrance and drive 15 km until you reach crooked lake road. Take a right onto this road and drive for 4 km or until the road is no longer drivable. This last part will have to be taken by foot. Please proceed at your own risk as conditions may be dangerous. Do not go near the cliff as it is unstable due to erosion.
Although boating to the island is not permitted with our boats, a stunning view of the island exists from St. Esprit Beach which can be reached via a 30 min kayak or canoe ride. Alternatively, one can take a right when exiting our resort entrance and drive for 2.3 km until reaching a narrow dirt road (not recommended for low-lying vehicles). Take a right onto this dirt road and drive until the road is no longer drivable ( the rest of the road might have to be hiked depending on the conditions). At the end there will be grassy cliff with a fire pit. One can hike along the sandy ATV trail slightly to the right, or walk along the beach to the right until you reach the lake found on our resort.

Point Michaud Beach
Point Michaud RdA beautiful beach featuring shallow waters safe for all members of the family. The beach can be quite busy on a nice day but may be deserted on other days. Typically, there are less people there during the early morning and late evening hours. This beach is great for swimming during the summer and is a renowned surf spot.
St. Peter's Canal National Historic Site

The Fortress of Louisbourg is an iconic scene that takes you back into the 1700s where a french settlement acted as a major fishing and trade hub for Cape Breton. The settlement was eventually overtaken and destroyed in the 1760s. The site has been reconstructed and is now a national park. This fortress is a must see if you want to experience Cape Breton to the highest degree. It makes for an excellent cultural experience on a sunny or rainy day.
