If you are travelling by car this one not to miss. Its an actual coral beach with pure clear water great for swimming off. I know of one couple go engaged here very romantic.

If you are looking for the iconic view of Galway this is it. See the famous Longwalk across the river with its coloured houses. Also head out along Nimmos pier and take the costal path to Salthill.

Although this cathedral only dates from 1965 it has already become one of the must see places in Galway. Be sure to photograph it from every vantage point across the river. Inside has an air of calm from the hustle and bustle of Shop street.

While visiting the Connemara national park be sure to climb Diamond hill the views are stunning from the top and well worth the effort to climb. Its not difficult climb as much of it is wooden walkways and steps but the rewards are great.

For a lovely day out especially with small children this garden is a wonder for all. Has many sculptures and walking trail (not too long) Numerous huts can be explored an then enjoy lunch in the restaurant.

Get up close to birds of prey and see an excellent flypast from these magnificent creatures. Very responsible owner who protects the wildlife. Great to get photographs of the birds in flight.
