An awesome state park and within an hour of the cabin. This park offers scenic views on top of Chimney Rock itself which can be accessed via elevator or hiking up to the top for the more adventurous. This state park also offers a 1.4 mile hike to scenic views of Hickory Nut Falls

Dry Falls is a personal favorite waterfall that offers spectacular views of the rushing waters. This fall also offers the opportunity to walk behind it. This falls is a bit of a drive and is about 1 hour and 45 mins from the cabin, but is well worth a day trip to see.
