South Park is one of the largest National Register historic neighborhoods in Ohio. It is a 24-block, 150-acre area with more than 780 structures primarily dating from the 1880s to the early twentieth century. South Park is located south of downtown Dayton, Ohio, just north of the University of Dayton campus and Woodland Cemetery, and east of Miami Valley Hospital. Mainly residential in character, South Park is significant because of the variety of its architecture, which includes vernacular, cottage, and high style examples, and because of its association with John H. Patterson, founder of the National Cash Register Company.
1880 Modern Bungalow was once a true shotgun style home that was built in1880. The newly renovated and revamped home is located the one of the best streets in the popular and trendy South Park Historic District. Located right in the middle of the park where you can enjoy the boulevard from your porch. Walking distance to Blommel Park, South Park Tavern, Ghostlight Coffee and a front view of Park Drive greenspace.
