Sunsets and Walking
Strands Beach-View the sunset from your car or have a picnic on the grass.
Amazing views on a clear day! Walk along the above sidewalk or go down to the beachside boardwalk. There’s four ways down to the boardwalk and beach. North stairs, South switchbacks or two ways down through the community. You can also walk to Dana Point bluff trail and Nature Center if you walk up the hill heading south.
Amazing sunsets and great paved walking trails.

Park along the street and walk up the hill to the mostly flat dirt trail to the bluff overlook. You can enjoy the sunset here with a glass of wine or hike all the down to the water if you go during the day. Hike is very steep coming back up!

Newport Beach Boardwalk-Rent bikes and ride along the boardwalk or walk it. The trail goes all the way to Huntington Beach and beyond! I usually ride from Balboa Pier up to just past Newport Pier. Also check out Balboa Island before or after. Take the ferry across the channel for $1.50 per person with bikes each way.Parking in Newport and Balboa is very full if you get there after 12 noon
