Family Fun

Our recreation area in Big Bear Lake offers family fun activities year round. The world-famous Alpine Slide is Southern California's only authentic bobsled experience where you control your speed down two 1/4 mile long tracks. In the winter, we offer snow tubing with a covered Magic Carpet ride to the top- no walking! The Soaring Eagle offers panoramic views backwards nearly 2 football feeds, then soar down at 26mph. In the summer there is a refreshing double Water Slide. A Go-Kart track and 18 hole mini golf course are sure to entertain. New in summer of 2020 is the Mineshaft Coaster, the first and only mountain coaster in CA! You control your speed on a mile of turns, dips, tunnels, bridges and corkscrews along the mountainside The best ride is the mine coaster. It is pricey though about $20 for adult or $10 for a child if you are riding as a single.

Family-friendly resort with snowy slopes for tubing, plus a magic carpet ride back up to the top. They even do night tubing. I would say this is the better choice for tubing

My kids love this park. Great playgrounds and on the lake so it has amazing views. Walk past the pickle ball courts, tennis courts, and baseball diamonds. You'll find a zip line that is super fun for the kids!

The Stanfield Marsh Wildlife and Waterfowl Preserve and the Stanfield Marsh Boardwalks area in Big Bear Lake is a beautiful place to visit. The Preserve is located on the corner of the Stanfield Cutoff and Big Bear Blvd., as you approach the corner you will see the wooden gazebo and small parking area. The gazebo has informative posters of the wildlife in the area so be sure to take a moment to look at them. The best time of day to visit the Preserve is early morning or late afternoon when the waterfowl and fish are looking for food. The two boardwalks are built over the water and the walk is very tranquil and relaxing, especially at sunset. Visitors can take a fascinating look at the local wildlife in, under, and around the water, the ducks are especially friendly. You will see an island not far from the shore that was built as a safe haven for the waterfowl.

The Alpine Pedal Path is 3.2 miles one way and stretches from the Stanfield Cutt-off to the Serrano Campground. The Pedal Path is also a great place for people to ride their bicycles, as the path is fairly level and an easy ride. There are benches along the way, where you can take a rest or meditate.
