great coffee shop. good pastries, nice staff, nice ambiance, great people watching. the house roast is a bit racy to my taste but the baristas are top notch and it's a high end experience. mid-priced.

fun retro-diner, great for kids. good shakes, decent burgers, outdoor seating, a little overpriced. if you want just as good a burger for 1/2 the price but no chi-chi go across the street to Jimbo's.

most touristy soul-food restaurant in new york. in spite of that it's not bad and a good value if you order the right thing. I like the salmon cakes with 2 side orders. a historic piece of harlem!

Great sushi, but astronomically overpriced. mediocre service; 0 ambiance. maybe go for lunch when they run specials. For dinner it's simply not worth it - might as well go to a fancy midtown japanese.
