The beautiful Bushrangers Bay comprises a sandy beach surrounded by basalt cliffs on the ocean side of the Mornington Peninsula. Swimming is not recommended at this site as the beach is unpatrolled and often hazardous due to strong rips and large waves. This serene location is contrasted by dark and brooding headlands and wild waves that often crash onto jagged rocks guarding the entrance to the bay. Bushrangers Bay can be accessed via a walk along Main Creek from the Boneo Road car park and picnic area (2.5km). This section of the Two Bays Walking Track provides fine views and passes through shady Banksia groves. Alternatively, follow the 2.6km Bushrangers Bay Track from the Cape Schanck car park to see some of the best coastal scenery near Melbourne. There is limited or no mobile phone reception.

Ferry ride: From picturesque Sorrento to Queenscliff by ferry. Queenscliff is a seaside village with uninterrupted views of the bay, heads and coastline. It is dripping in historic buildings with a surprising and contemporary feel. A modern marina precinct - Queenscliff Harbour - offers dining and shopping overlooking the luxury boats moored and the comings and goings of a working harbour. A 360 degree viewing tower stands tall and is worth the trip by stairs or lift, and it is free! The village and Main Street is a short walk from the ferry and is dotted with cafes, a brewery & distillery, boutiques and art galleries.

Gunnamatta Beach is an exposed, high energy beach with a wide, rip dominated surf zone. It is located in the Mornington Peninsula National Park and is part of the 30 km long sandy and rocky coast that extends from Cape Schanck to Point Nepean. The Gunnamatta section is 3 km long, with extensive intertidal calcarenite reefs and rocks forming the boundaries, with some smaller reefs on the beach and in the surf. Truemans Road runs out through the dunes to the beach, where there is a large car park and the surf lifesaving club. The beach faces south-west, exposing it to high westerly winds and waves. The waves average 1.9 m and combine with the medium sand to produce a 150 m wide single bar surf zone. The bar is cut by strong rips every 300 m, together with additional permanent rips next to major reefs and rocks.

Lovely walk. Not a lot a car parking spots but on a quiet day there are plenty next to the start of the walk. Views are amazing. Do this walk on a clear day to properly appreciate the scenery. Wear appropriate shoes for this hike as there are plenty of roots and rocks to stub your toes on if you wear thongs like I did. Beaches are close too if you feel like a swim after working up a sweat on this stunner of a walk. Recommended walk for all ages.

The blooming flowers of the gardens and the puzzling mazes are one of the best reasons to come visit. Great place for kids to run around in, and a relaxing place to smell the roses and many other species.
