Woodinville is a top destination for wine tasting and boasts 100+ wineries, including the famous Chateau St. Michele. Even if you don't like wine, the Chateau is worth visiting for it's beautiful grounds and summer concert series.

In the summer, Mount Rainier national park is a beautiful place to visit. You can find hikes of all difficulty levels -- from short, paved, paths, to trails that summit the mountain. :) Be sure to grab a national park pass before you go!

Perhaps less visited than Mount Rainier, the park around Mount St Helens is still beautiful, and the sight of the cratered mountain is haunting. There are plenty of hikes here as well, and the nearby museum can teach you the history of the eruption.

This island is a popular destination with locals and is just a short ferry ride from downtown. You can peruse the cute shops and restaurants on the main street or visit the Bloedel Nature Preserve.
