Newport Beach pier is always my recommended beach. Keep traveling down Balboa blvd to the end and check out the classic surfing spot “the wedge” on a big day. Got kids go to Mothers Beach that has Nautical park on 18th st

2nd fav beach. Dog beach at Goldenwest or Main st has the pier. Great newer mall on PCH called Pacific City with a ton of cool stuff like lsxo or bear flag co. Or Tanners for a late night scene.
