The Pioneer Saloon has been a favorite local watering hole for over 126 years. It has a fun, friendly vibe, with live music and dancing most nights of the week. On Sundays, top-notch blues musicians gather at about 5:00 pm to jam. Other nights the entertainment starts at around 9:00.

The Woodside Store was constructed in 1854 by two early pioneers. During the gold rush it served as a post office, general store, stagecoach stop, post office, and dental office. It has been restored to its 1880's appearance, and now operates as a museum.
