Less than 10 minutes away, the ice house is a local favorite. You will find live music every night, pool tables and a ton of oversized TVs to watch local sports. The deck and patio are a personal favorite - with a fire pit year round, heating in the cooler months and fans in the summer. It can get busy, but it is a big enough place that it doesn't feel over crowded.

If you have never been to a drive in movie and you have the time, definitely add this to your schedule. Such a fun way to chill out. They have concessions and a bar, and they'll even come jump start your vehicle if your battery doesn't hold up. We love this place.

Coyote Drive-In (Fort Worth)
223 NE 4th StIf you have never been to a drive in movie and you have the time, definitely add this to your schedule. Such a fun way to chill out. They have concessions and a bar, and they'll even come jump start your vehicle if your battery doesn't hold up. We love this place.
Food scene
This little gem is one of the up and coming restaurants in Downtown Fort Worth. I wouldn't be surprised if before long it secures a place on the top 10 restaurants in FW. A little more on the pricier side - but some of the best food around.
We can personally recommend the the lobster risotto, or the flynt burger which is seared with duck fat and cooked perfectly!

I love live sports and celebrating with a bunch of friends and strangers... and this place has a 100 foot HD screen, with live mc and pyrotechnics for the big games. You'll also get the best views of the three stadiums including AT&T and the new billion dollar Texas Rangers stadium - if you go here definitely check out the courtyard of the Texas live hotel, outside through the back doors of the dining area.

Its not in a place that a tourist would stumble on it - its in a neighboring City, North Richland Hills, but its worth the trip if you just want to go out for dinner for sure.

This is our local park, with a trail head that will take you all the way to downtown Fort Worth alongside the Trinity River. Follow the start of the trail and you will find our residential fishing pond 2 minutes into your walk.
You can actually access it within walking distance - take a left on Salado Trl (away from Trinity Blvd), walk 4 blocks and take a right at the stop sign on Sabinas trail - literally 1000s of acres of woodland and Texas wildlife to explore right on your doorstep!
It is wild tho so be prepared for live encounters - snakes, wild pigs, coyote and even one stray alligator have been spotted on this part of the trails - and that was just by me and my son on our many adventures!
